Jefferson County, Missouri Reports Four Additional COVID-19 Deaths

Jefferson County Health Department has confirmed four new COVID-19 related deaths in Jefferson County, Missouri. The residents include two males, one in their 80’s and one in their 60’s, and two females, one in their 80’s and one in their 60’s.

“We are saddened to report four additional COVID-19 deaths in our county,” states Director Vollmar. “Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of these residents.”

Jefferson County Health Department works diligently to provide both timely and accurate data reporting. The increase in the number of deaths reported today reflects verification of official records for four previously identified cases that required additional investigation before their official announcement.

“Our team has identified an approved method of obtaining this information in a timely manner to avoid similar delays in the future,” states Jefferson County Health Department Director, Kelley Vollmar.

Jefferson County Health Department encourages residents follow the Governor’s Show Me Strong Recovery Plan and the Jefferson County Re-Opening Joint Order as well as follow CDC guidelines to protect public health and limit the spread of infection.
