CDC Week 36 Epidemiological Analysis: (from JCHD Epidemiologist, Sara Wilton)

This week the county remains in the RED/highest transmission level with a weekly case count of 729 confirmed and probable cases and a positivity rate of 13.7%. The overall case count increased 5.5% from week 35 to week 36.

Cases in the 0-19 group made up 32.5% of all cases during week 36. There were 237 total new cases for the 0-19 group, which is the highest weekly case count we have seen so far for this group. Previously the highest case rate we saw in this age group was 217 cases back in November 2020 during our surge.

 Our total percentage of vaccinated individuals is 35.69% in week 36. Of these 729 new cases, 81.1% were unvaccinated.
