Overdose Awareness Week 2025

August 25th-29th

Open to all in the community, come meet with agencies, businesses, and community partners that are focused on wellness in recovery that extends beyond substance use services. At this event you will have an opportunity to meet with community partners from all areas that include wellness, fitness, dietary, art and holistic activities, banking, mental health, physical health, insurance, etc. Compass Health Network will be providing snacks and refreshments for this event aimed to help anyone look at all aspects of life that can impact living a healthy and sober life.

FREE to everyone! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a night of bowling and making new friends. Bowling alleys can be a difficult place to go and have fun when in recovery. This is a great opportunity for everyone to come and enjoy a substance free evening thanks to Chestnut Health, who is sponsoring this event. Come anytime and bowl the night away!

Are you in recovery?  Are you struggling with substance use? Are you a family member impacted by substance use?   Are you working in a field where substance use is common?   If any of those answers are yes.... this lunch is for you. Sana Lake will be sponsoring lunch during this event which features three speakers discussing how substance use has impacted their lives. This is the only event that requires registration. You can register here: https://forms.office.com/r/eVyBC81BjR

This marquee event is the staple of Overdose Awareness Week. Open to anyone and encouraged for everyone to come participate. Begin the day in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse and continue the discussion of substance use and reducing the stigma. The walk is the opportunity for the community to come together to remember those who lost their battles with addiction. For the first time, this event will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the park. Food, activities, and gathering to continue the fight to reduce the harm caused by substance use.

The final event of the week to reflect on what was learned, what else can be provided during the week to continue to spread the word about substance use, and another opportunity to gather resources. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and give their insight.
