The following types of home-made cooked desserts
are considered a food safety risk and are restricted for sale at bake sales:
- All cream pies
- All whipped cream topped pies
- All whipped topping filled pies
- All meringue topped pies
- Cream filled pastries
- Boston cream pies (pudding filled cake)
- Cheese cakes or cheese danish
- Pumpkin pies
- Custard or custard pies
- Pudding or pudding pies
- Mince filled cookies or pies
- Flan
While this is not an exhaustive list, the concept
is to exclude items that require refrigeration after they are cooked. The Jefferson
