Methamphetamine
Methamphetamine (also known as meth, crank, ice, speed, or tina) is an addictive and illegal central nervous system stimulant that leads to several direct health risks for the user including brain damage, kidney failure, depression, tooth decay, and weight loss. Meth can be ingested, snorted, smoked, or injected. For the past several years, Jefferson County has led the nation with the most meth lab seizures. Retailers!
Join Jefferson County’s fight against meth by implementing the Retailer Meth Watch Program in your store. Meth Watch began in Jefferson County in 2008 and is modeled after the Kansas Meth Watch program. The goal of Meth Watch is to increase awareness among retailers and customers of meth manufacturing to help deter sales and theft of products used illegally to make meth.
